15 Tips For Kicking Pollen In The Butt!

I dread the Spring because I know when the season comes so does the pollen. I have really bad allergies so not only does pollen make me feel miserable but it's annoying as well. Pollen gets everywhere! There's no escaping it! It gets all over our cars and houses, even our pets!!! Sometimes I don't even go outside because it's pure yellow out. That's madness!!
This season, I will not suffer!! I will be kicking pollen in the butt and if you have allergies, you should too!

Here are 15 tips for surviving the pollen this season:

Wear a hat or scarf on your head when going outside. You'll decrease the chances of getting pollen in your hair. Take a shower when you get home. Avoid getting straight in the bed or couch. Wash all of the dirt and pollen off of you first. Don't drive with the windows down. Invest in a purifier. This will clean the air in your home, eliminating all dust and pollen. Do not hang your clothes or rugs outside to dry. Keep your pets wiped down…

My Top 5 Life OBSESSIONS 😍

1. I LOVE flowers. I have a few favorites: roses, tulips, sunflowers, peonies, and hydrangeas. Just looking at them instantly makes me happier. These are my mom's birthday flowers. Aren't they gorgeous?! If it were up to me, I would have flowers [literally] all over the house!

2. I am obsessed with book stores. I love the quiet atmosphere and getting lost in thousands of books. Books-A-Million is one of my favorite places to go. I could spend the whole day there.

3. Coffee/Coffee Shops/Starbucks. Not only do I love the taste of coffee but I like the aroma and the warmth it provides. And nothing is more satisfying than walking into Starbucks and smelling all of that delicious coffee.

4. Arts and Crafts/Stationary. I love shopping for crafts and stationary. Lately I've been into painting. It's so fun and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new [relaxing] hobby. I've also been into planners and stickers, but then again, I have always been into those 2…

My Go-To Green Juice 🍏

I love my green juices but sometimes I don't love making them. I have a cold pressed juicer which is amazing however it runs very sloooowww. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to make one. But lately, I've been juicing up a storm. I love having a juice in the early afternoon. It's the perfect pick me up. You know how they say an apple gives you sooooo much energy, well "issa" lie! Now a green juice does give you energy. It's so great for when you are feeling sluggish, I swear by it!  Here's the green juice that I've been making lately:1 apple4 celery sticks2 lemonsSpinach, Romaine lettuce, and kale (handful each)1 large cucumber 

This is the combination that I usually go for. I like it the most because it isn't a sweet juice but it isn't bland or sour either.

Most people don't really think about smiling, it's just something they either do or don't do. Well, did you know there are actual benefits to smiling? Not only does smiling make you feel good but it also adds years to your life. Yes! Crazy right? Our bodies release endorphins when we smile, which is a chemical that makes us happier. By releasing endorphins we are also able to decrease stress and anxiety. Smiling also increases the strength of our immune systems and is a natural anti-depressant. So turn that frown upside down and keep on smiling.

Fruit Infused Water 💦

Let's just be real here, water is plain and boring. Drinking it can be tough especially if you are trying to consume your recommended daily intake. My favorite thing to do is to infuse my water with fruit. When my water is infused, I manage to drink three times as much water than I would otherwise. This is what my water looks like today:

Simply, lemon and strawberries. I love strawberries in my water. If you can't handle the sourness of lemon water then add in a few strawberries. It balances with the tartness. Another combination that I swear by is strawberry and mint.

We all know the benefits of drinking water right? By drinking water you are fighting off diseases and illnesses, flushing out toxins, creating better digestion, etc. But by adding in fruit, you are adding in extra nutrients to your water. The fruit will provide extra vitamins and minerals that the water didn't even have before.

Declutter-to remove unnecessary items from an untidy or overcrowded place. 

While it is good to declutter our closets every once in a while or our kitchen pantries, it is also important to declutter our minds. A cluttered mind is filled with thoughts, stress, worry, and more. Being mentally cluttered is never a good thing; it can change the way we function or send us in a downward spiral. 

Below are ten ways to declutter your mind: 

1. Make sure the space around you is clean. This doesn't mean that you have to declutter your space and throw everything out. Just make sure your area is clean and tidy.  

2. Start a Journal. This is a good way of releasing thoughts and feelings whether good or bad, instead of keeping them inside. When you're finished writing, it will feel as though a weight has been lifted.
