Highlights Of 2012!!!!!

Hey Everyone!
Happy New Years Eve!

2012 has been a good year for me. I actually don't remember any bad moments throughout the year but then again I do have a bad memory sooo....

Anyway, here are some pictures of past events that made this year great.

One good thing that happened in 2012 was me getting my Associate In Science. Whoop Whoop! I was so happy. Now I'm at my new university and ya girl has a 3.0! Double whoop whoop!

Going to Florida over the summer was really fun. We all had a great time and I'm glad I went. (More pictures under the label 'Vacation'.
Kayla (my niece) said one of her favorite moments of 2012 was the "photoshoot" I gave her. & one of my favorite moments was when she graduated from 5th grade. It was too cute. Now she's in the 6th grade making the honor roll... like a boss. (Her mom/my sister also graduated with her Masters)

My grandmother (Ma) had a successful birthday party. The party was too fun! (Pictures are in the blog archive under September or under the label 'Birthday'. Check them out!)
My aunt recently gave birth to my cousin baby DJ. Isn't he so cute?! I love his little smile. Love you bunches baby DJ!

2012 was full of graduations. My cousin Alexis graduated from high school and now attends Duke. Beauty and Brains is the way to be!

I've always wanted to play around with Halloween makeup and do something crazy and I finally did. For my first time, I think it came out pretty good and I freaked a lot of people out! (Pictures are in the blog archive under October & under the labels 'Halloween'/'DIY')

One of the most exciting days of 2012 [for me] was election day. I got to vote for the first time!

It's everyone's favorite little guy... Jacob! I'm so proud of him. He has changed so much over the year. (I haven't mentioned this on my blog yet but he's autistic) Over the year, he has been saying so much more and putting little sentences together. Side note: He loves to dance, play with trucks, and play the keyboard and drums. Ladies, don't pass out from all this cuteness. lol (For more pictures of Jacob, look under Label and click on 'Jacob')

Of Course one thing that made this year great was the fact that I made a blog! Shout out to everyone who reads my blog/follows me! Thank youuuuuuu! <3

Christmas Break also was a highlight of 2012.
Oh, and seeing the Avengers. I think that was my favorite movie this year.

What was your highlight moment of 2012?

I hope you all enjoyed! Have a Happy New Year! & Come back for more randomness in 2013!!

Hey Everyone!!!

Let me tell you about yesterday! Boy oh Boy was it a good day! First the family woke up, we usually wake up early on Christmas day but this year everyone woke up kind of late. Then my mom made breakfast and my sister and nephew Jacob came over. Afterwards we opened presents and O.M.G... I got some of the best gifts! It was so overwhelming, made a girl want to pass out! After we opened gifts, the family was tired and everyone was going to take a nap but then my aunt and cousins came over!!!! Oh snap! So the whole day we've been hanging out and relaxing, enjoying ourselves. How did you spend your Christmas day? Leave a comment below and enjoy the pictures!

Ugh! Oh No They Didn't!!

Hey guys...

Okay so it should be obvious by now that I'm not doing blogmas anymore. I feel like it's not going as great as I thought it would, which is very annoying.

But I want to give a shout out to Simone Giles & Andrea D  and any other person who actually takes the time to look at my blog and comment on posts. I appreciate you girls!

So let's just get straight to the point which is pet peeves! I know everyone's got one! That thing that just urkes your nerves...
I happen to have a lot of them. Wanna know a few? Well then keep on reading!

When bloggers don't reply back to their followers. I don't like that. If I take the time to ask a question you should at least answer it or if I say nice outfit say thank you... Sheesh! I feel like when people take the time to message me, I should take the time to reply back. I could see if you had like 1000 comments but if you have 5... Come on now!

People who say they followback but don't... -___________-
When people have giveaways but in order to enter you have to like/follow them on everything they own. Their twitter, Youtube account(s), Facebook, Instagram, Lockerz, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google+, Blog, and not only that but hashtag them, @ them, leave a comment on both Youtube and Facebook, it's crazy. It's like doing homework. Next they'll be asking for essays.
When people put though(tho/doe) at the end of EVERY sentence....
ex: "What up tho?" "I see my friend doe" "That boy kinda fine tho" "Yo I'm eating this cereal, it's so good but I don't have milk doe" "What kinda dog is that doe" "Going to the mall tho!"
Once in a while its fine but after every sentence doe... See now I'm doing it!
People on Twitter who post the SAME tweets. It's like everyone has the same brain.
I've seen the tweet "I notice everything but don't say nothing" like 100 times already. So everyone on my TL notices everything but doesn't say anything... interesting. -___-
Girls who take pictures in front of their toilets. It's not sexy, it's just weird and nasty.
I can't stand when my socks get wet. Ew!

Milk crust... *gag*

When I'm in the library and people are loud. Last time I checked I thought you were supposed to be quiet in a library. I could be wrong though, I am getting kind of old.

I hate when people try so hard to cheat off me because then I have to try hard to cover my papers up. In college they kick you out for stuff like that. FYI

People complaining all the time about their sucky life. Like go make it better then!! Duh.

People who cough/yawn/sneeze in public but don't cover their mouths. EW !

English teachers who can't spell. -____-

Teachers who lick the papers before passing them out, then you're left with the spit stain. *gag*

Having your eye on something in a store, a strangers sees, and takes it before you can. SMH! That's the worst!

Bad Kids... SMH

People who invite themselves over...

When kids talk about how bad they need to be in a relationship... I can't stand that. Kids need to be kids.

People who think they are always right. SMH, annoying!

Okay I'm done for now. Maybe I'll make a part 2 .
What are your pet peeves? I have to know!

(P.S. I know I have some people who want to comment but don't have a Google account. If you go to Comment as, click anonymous, you could leave a comment that way. But include your name so I know who I'm talking to)

SMOOTHIE TIME: Ooh Girl... That is GOOD!

Good Afternoon!!

I'm trying to get back in the swing of making my healthy smoothies so this morning I made a fruit smoothie and omg it was so good! I'm going to share the "recipe" below but it's so simple that some of you might be like... "Omg! Is this girl serious? I make this all the time!" lol It was my first time throwing together this combo and it was so good! I actually gave Jacob (my nephew) a little bit and he started blushing so hard. It was cute, I wish I had a picture.

It was overflowing. opps!

I used a lot of frozen fruit. (Strawberries, blueberries, bananas) Maybe 2 cups. I'm not sure I just poured it in.
1 cup of apple juice
1/2 cup of water
It's so good it doesn't even need sugar.

I'm making this again tomorrow morning!

P.S. Another Ready For Christmas post will be up tonight :)

Candy Cane Nails

Hey Everyone!!

I wanted to do something festive on my nails so I decided to do a candy cane inspired look. At first it was only red and white but then I threw in some green and it looked a whole lot better. Yes it's a little messy but I'm diggin this look. If you have small or short nails like I do, its possible to do this look, just make sure you make your stripes very thin.
I painted my nails red, then striped some white, and later on added green stripes.

I love mixing nail polish for some reason so I mixed the two greens together before applying.

I used: Forever Yummy by Essie, Jade is the New Black by O.P.I and the green L.A Color Art Deco polish (mixed), White On (300) by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear, and China Glaze's base cost.
This also works if you paint your nails red first, let it dry, apply thin stripes of tape on your nails, then paint those areas. I should have thought about that earlier. lol oh well!

Getting festive with your nails? Send me the link in the comment section below or tweet me a picture.
xoxo :-)

Christmas Trees & Tips

So at our house we love to decorate for Christmas. This year we have five trees. Yes 5 trees!!! Some people may think that's too many but we don't, so HA! :-P

Christmas Tree #1 in the living room.
Theme: Blue and Silver
Tip #1: Get creative with your tree. Turn random things into ornaments such as toys or flowers.

Christmas Tree #2 in the Den.
Theme: Everything
Tip #2: Having a pre-lit tree makes decorating a lot easier. If your tree isn't pre-lit, try stringing the Christmas lights in a zig-zag instead of all around the tree. Most likely you can't see the back of the tree anyway, right? (This tree wasn't pre-lit by the way)

Christmas Tree #3 (The Main Tree)
Theme: Everything
Tip #3: Be sure to place some ornaments in the inside of the tree and sit a few on the branches as well. It gives more depth to the tree.
Christmas Tree #4 in Kayla's Room (My niece)
Theme: Traditional
Tip #4: When decorating a Christmas tree, use different size ornaments.
Christmas Tree #5 in my room
Theme: Girly
Tip 5: If you want to get creative, decorate your tree with things people would never expect. (Such as spray painted spoons with ribbons)
So there you have it! All of our Christmas trees. So which tree is your favorite out of the bunch? If you have your Christmas tree up tweet me a picture! @heymiraclewhip
Tune in each day for a new holiday post!
