VDay Treats

Yesterday Kayla and I made chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels. Not only are they easy and fun to make but they taste delicious too. This snack is great to make for your special someone, family, and/or friends for Valentine's Day. This is a fun recipe for children to do as well.

Make sure you buy dark red strawberries. The darker the sweeter. :-)

Melt any kind of chocolate you like. (But stir the chocolate as it melts)
* I used milk chocolate and white chocolate. *

*Quick Tip* If you mix a little bit (and I mean a little bit) of vegetable oil in your chocolate, the oil will make it look shiny and pretty without changing the taste!

After melting your chocolate, dip the strawberries in and rotate (using a spoon helps too)

Once you're done, your strawberries should look something like this...

At this point you could either decorate them or put them in the refrigerator.

(I let Kayla decorate most of them)

Let your strawberries stay in the refrigerator until they harden. (Should take around 20-30 minutes.)

And that's it!!!! Once they harden you can eat them!

Here's the pretzels we made too.

A cute idea for a Vday gift would be to get a cute bowl or bucket, something like this...

from Target or the Dollar store, place parchment paper inside, and then fill it up with these strawberries and pretzels.

I have more treats to come so follow to stay updated.
