Healthy Living: 2 Easy and Healthy Side Dishes

Hello! I'm back with another post. Quick and Easy side dishes that take no time to prepare and that the WHOLE family will enjoy. If I can make them then you can too!



Read on to find out how I made my Brussels sprouts and honey glazed carrots.



Brussels Sprouts
You will need: A baking sheet, 1 big Ziploc bag, A bag of Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Preheat the oven to 450.
In your Ziploc bag pour in the Brussels sprouts, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pepper.
Zip it up and shake.
Dump Brussels sprouts on the baking sheet and put in the oven.
Occasionally move them around (w/ a kitchen utensil) so they cook evenly.
You'll know they are ready when one side turns brown.


Honey Glazed Carrots
You will need: A baking sheet, 1 bag of baby carrots, raw organic honey, olive oil, salt and pepper.
Preheat oven to 450.
Wash, dry, then dump carrots on baking sheet.
Drizzle 3 tablespoons of olive oil & 5 tablespoons of honey over carrots.
Sprinkle salt and pepper on carrots (around 1 teaspoon together or more depending on your preference)
Massage the carrots until all are evenly coated with salt, pepper, honey, and olive oil. (add more of each ingredient if needed)
Put carrots in the oven.
Occasionally check carrots with a fork. (DON'T burn yourself!They'll be ready when carrots are soft. (Which could take around 35 minutes but times do vary.)
