This drink idea is quick, easy, and perfect for New Year's Eve. It's also wonderful for a girls night in or those unannounced guests that you want to impress on the spot. As long as you already have white wine and sparkling grape juice chilled, you could make this drink in less than 5 minutes.
I poured mine individually but you can make a full pitcher if you want. It's really just a mixture of white wine and sparking white grape juice, so there are no real measurements here. Just pour a glass of white wine and depending on how much fizz you want will determine the amount of grape juice you add. I also added some chopped apples, a couple slices of halos (or oranges), and cranberries into the drink.
Not only is this drink cute but it tastes delicious as well. Try it out. What's your favorite thing to drink this time of year?

A nice gift idea would be to give someone a workout outfit or if you're fancy, a duffle bag with workout clothes and a water bottle already inside. I had these items listed but they deleted somehow. They can be found at Marshalls, Victorias Secret, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Amazon all under $50.
From what I hear, Coquito is like a Puerto Rican version of eggnog and it's super popular. I am not Puerto Rican so correct me if I'm wrong but apparently this is THE drink to drink around the holidays (esp. in Puerto Rico). I have been seeing this drink so many times on the internet and have been so curious to try it. Well, I tried it today. Before, I state my opinion, I would just like to say that I do not like eggnog. Every year, I take a sip in hopes that I will start to like it... but NOPE! (issa no for me dawg) However, I actually like Coquito. It reminds me a lot of RumChata. It is very sweet, so a little goes a long way (for me anyway) but I could definitely drink this again. I do have a question though, there seems to be a debate on whether the original recipe of Coquito contains eggs or not. So my question is, does real Coquito have eggs in it?
Here is the recipe that I found:
1 can of coconut milk
1 can of creme of coconut
1 can of evaporated milk
1 can of condensed milk
1 tsp of vanilla extract
Cinnamon (to taste)
Bacardi Rum (as much as you want)
Nutmeg (to taste)
Mix EVERYTHING in a blender.
Have you ever tried Coquito? What is your favorite holiday drink?
SANTA HAS MADE HIS LIST AND IS CHECKING IT TWICE!!!!!!

I'm sorry for the long hiatus you guys but I am back in action. It's time to get this blog lit again!! I'll be coming out with more content this week so be on the lookout.
Here are two last minute halloween ideas for you procrastinators out there. These costumes are super basic, however, they are very easy to recreate. Not to mention, you'll be saving a lot of money because a lot of the materials you'll probably already have at home.
*Side note: I'm sorry some of the pictures are blurry. I took all of these myself with a DSLR. The struggle was a little bit real lol
Rocker/Biker Chick and Scarecrow
What you'll need:
Straw hat (any kind)
Black liquid eyeliner
To create this look, start off by using your eyeliner to draw a triangle on your nose (any size will do). Then color the inside using your blush (or eyeshadow). Next, draw small lines all around the triangle. This gives the illusion that the nose is stitched onto the face. After your nose is complete, draw extended smile lines on your face then slash through them with smaller vertical lines. Apply your black lipstick. Draw a couple of short vertical lines on your eyebrows as well. Next, apply some heavy black eyeliner around your eyes, making the lower lashes look longer than usual. Throw on a heavy amount of blush to top off the makeup look. Finally, throw on a straw hat and a plaid shirt and you're done. Can you believe I don't own a plaid shirt? I had to put on my (9 yo) nephew's shirt.
Jacob wanted to be a scarecrow too so here's his look.
(Y'all can be the judge of this one. Do I look like a rocker chick or a biker chick?)
What you'll need:
Black Bandana or a thin pair of black leggings
Black liquid eyeliner
Black leather jacket
Trendy 90s choker (optional)
Basically, all black everything!
There are only two steps for this biker makeup look. 1. Throw on a heavy amount of eyeliner. 2. Apply black lipstick. That's it! Once the makeup is complete, throw on some black clothes, a leather jacket, and the choker. Wrap a black bandana around your head or do what I did and wrap a thin pair of leggings around your head.
That's the completed look! This could literally take you five minutes if you need something last minute. A few other things that would make this look cool would be some rings (i.e. skull rings) or something with spikes.

This post is for all of my fellow PLL viewers. I just finished watching the finale and...
First off, I would like to say that I'm sad it's over but also very happy. This show has been on for 7 years and I've been keeping up with it... the whole time!! I started watching this show when I was 19, which is crazy because I'm 26 now!!! Let me fill you in on my thoughts and if you watched it tonight, I want you to leave yours as well.
The finale was good at certain points but overall was very underwhelming. I feel like it really didn't answer any questions for me. Like, how did those moms really get out of the basement? If Spencer's twin (Alex) is A.D, why was she torturing everyone who wasn't even related to her? I could see her only torturing her family, but what did everyone else have to do with her problems? Who killed Maya? Was it Alex? If so, why? Where was Aria's brother? Why did she kidnap Ezra at the end? What was the point of making Alison carry Emily and Wren's babies? After years of crimes, everyone just got away with everything? Mona had Mary Drake locked up with Alex at the end? Why? Was Mary Drake really evil, good, or just twisted. I'm just overall confused. For an episode we have been waiting for, it could have been way better. I feel like they kind of wasted the first hour with unnecessary scenes and then tried to cram everything in the last hour, especially the last 30 minutes. Was I surprised Spencer had a twin? Yes and no. People were already calling it, that Spencer would have a twin but I didn't know if she would actually have one or not. So when the twin came on the scene, the shock factor was at a low but still sort of there. So on a scale from 1-10, I was probably on a 5 shock factor. Melissa being home in the beginning was weird and her character was always sketchy to me, but I knew her being A.D would be too obvious. I wish they would have gone into detail about how she was able to do all of those things. And maybe they did, but her "accent" was throwing me all off. If any of you can explain some of these things to me, then please do so in the comments.
How funny was that scene at Aria's wedding when the phone was going off and it was the creator's.
Oh, and how many of y'all rolled your eyes at the very last scene with the little girls.
I have always been a HUGE fan of this show and it has been one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. However, I must say, I am happy that it's over.
What questions do you have? Do you have some of these answers? Chat with me in the comments below!
Hey y'all! I'm back with a 'late night thoughts' post. I got a lot of positive feedback on the last one so I figured I would keep it going. It's Monday, 11:05 pm, not exactly late (for me) but late enough. It's raining right now and I am loving it!! It's giving me total relaxation vibes. It could rain everyday and I wouldn't be upset.
I just finished watching the Bachelorette. I am digging this show. Do any of y'all watch it? I could never get into it before but I really like Rachel and her (hot mess) selection of guys. If you watch it, comment below who you think will win or at least make it to the end. I think Peter, Brian, and Dean are making it to the end. My niece keeps telling me I should be on that show. I don't know who she think I am. I do not have the time for all of that foolery. Would you ever be on the Bachelor or the Bachelorette?
Can we just take a second to acknowledge the queen Lorde has blessed us with a new album. Finally! I've been waiting FOREVER for this thing. I haven't had a chance to properly listen to it the way I would have liked but I have listened to it briefly. So far, my favs from the album are Greenlight, Sober, Homemade Dynamite, The Louvre, Hard Feelings, and Perfect Places. That's basically the album lol. I already know once I fully sit down and listen to the whole thing I'm going to have it on repeat. I always say her first album is a classic because I have listened to the album on repeat since it came out and I'm still not tired of it. It's so good, you don't have to skip any songs on it either. I'm pretty sure this new album will be the same way. I think a lot of people overlook her because they think she's weird but she's really talented. I don't know what made me listen to her first album in 2013 but I'm glad I did. I'm a fan! Her song Hard Feelings is perfection on this new album. From her voice to the sounds especially towards the end. yass! I can't wait to listen to the whole thing without being interrupted. Question: do you think Lorde is pop or alternative? I keep thinking she is alternative. She's even listed as alternative on iTunes but most people say she's pop so I don't know. I was watching QVC and this dude was trying to sell his makeup. Why sell foundation if you only have like 5 shades? I just don't understand that. It's like that other places as well. A company will sell foundation shades in fair, light, medium, tan, and deep. Like what? That's crazy to me. Does that bug anyone else but me? What I like about these posts is that it allows for me to say what's on my mind, whether it's serious or lighthearted. Let me know what's on your mind tonight? Don't be shy, leave me a comment.
If you could bring back one toy from your childhood, what would it be?
I would bring back the Bratz dolls. I'm pretty sure they stopped making those a couple of years ago. I haven't been seeing them in stores but back in the day, they were POPPIN!! And can I just say, they used to slay my life with their commercials. I loved those dolls! I loved the hair styles, the fashion, the makeup... I literally wanted to be a bratz doll!! Now that I'm older some people actually tell me that I look like a bratz doll. I hope that's not their subtle way of telling me I have a big head. The only thing I didn't like about Bratz dolls were that they had no feet. As a child, I always thought that was the weirdest thing.
Leave me a comment letting me know what childhood toy(s) you would bring back.

One of my favorite vegetables is Zucchini. It's so versatile and you can manipulate it to become whatever dish you want it to become. A bucket list is a list that consists of things a person wants to do at some point in their life. Well an anti-bucket list (I made up this name) is something that I NEVER want to do, ever. With that being said, here are 10 things that I would never do. I know there's the phrase "never say never" but I'm pretty sure, I would never do these things.
1. Sky Dive.
2. Watch Star Wars. I can never bring myself to actually watch it. Everything about it seems boring. NEXT!
3. Tattoos. I like tattoos for other people but not for myself. I know that if I were to get a tattoo, I would instantly regret it.
4. A tongue piercing. I just don't see the point.
5. Drink a raw egg. Talk about nasty.
6. Get breast or butt implants. I'm happy the way I am!
7. Eat my placenta. Some women eat their own placenta after they have given birth to lower chances of postpartum depression and to increase their energy levels and milk quantities. HOWEVERRRRR.... will I be eating my own? Yeah I think NOT.
8. Go camping. I am not an outdoorsy person. I'll camp inside the house though!
9. Bungee Jump.
10. Eat frog legs. Oh HECK no!
What are some things you would never do? Leave them in the comments below!
Nordstrom has these barracuda straight leg jeans on their website and they're covered in fake mud. Yep! Fake mud. Like what?
Here's the description for these jeans:
"Heavily distressed medium-blue denim jeans in a comfortable straight-leg fit embody rugged, Americana workwear that's seen some hard-working action with a crackled, caked-on muddy coating that shows you're not afraid to get down and dirty."
The jeans run for 425 dollars and the matching jacket runs for 425 dollars as well.
So I asked everyone (on different social media platforms) to send me would you rather questions. I've somehow managed to get 10 so here are my answers!!! 1. Would you rather lay in a bed full of frogs or swim with snakes? Answer: I am deathly afraid of frogs so I would have to choose swimming with snakes... even though I'm afraid of them too. smh. 2. Would you rather eat chocolate that taste like brains or brains that tastes like chocolate? Answer: Easy! I would definitely eat brains that taste like chocolate. 3. Would you rather lick someones feet that work at a water treatment plant and don't wear shoes or drink a bottle of baby pee and poop? Answer: *gags* I would lick the feet. 4. Would you rather poop from your mouth or pee through your eyes? Answer: There is no way I'm pooping from my mouth, so I choose peeing through my eyes. 5. Would you rather eat your hair or your toenails? Answer: I would eat my toenails. 6. Would you rather drink for the rest of your life or eat for the rest of your life? Answer: I would rather drink for the rest of my life. If I eat all my life I'll end up thirsty. If I had to drink I would make thicker smoothies that would give me the same satisfaction as eating. That's my logic lol 7. Would you rather melt or burn candles? Answer: Burn candles. I love the aesthetic. 8. Would you rather use Yankee or Bath and Body Works? Answer: Definitely Bath and Body Works. Yankee is too unscented for me. 9. Would you rather only buy candles you kind of like with a coupon or only buy candles you love for full price? Answer: As much as I love buying on a budget I would choose buying candles that I love at full price. I feel as though it's a waste of money to buy something I sorta like. 10. In the middle of a super crowded Bath and Body Works, would you rather drop a candle or knock over a display of body care? Answer: Yikes!! I'm someone who gets easily embarrassed so I don't like either lol. I would choose knocking over a display of body care. At least it would be easy clean up. Thank you Ariel, Will, Shay, Carcelius, Kayla, Side_Wick, and Threewickupdates for the questions!!! You can answer these questions too in the comment section below!
Do you ever find yourself staying up late and just getting lost in [deep] thoughts? I do this quite often. I think about a lot of things late at night; my past, my present, but especially my future. (It's currently 2:18 am by the way) Now normally this would be something that I would write down in my daily journal but I figured it could make for an interesting blog post instead. My birthday is coming up and I'm turning 26... Dun Dun DUNNNNNNNN!!! I'm blessed to make it to 26. I have had a couple of friends who unfortunately passed before reaching this age so I'm thankful. However, I can't help but to feel kind of old. I'll be 26! Like..................... that's literally almost 30. Yikes. I can't even imagine. I remember being a teenager and thinking 30 was so far away and kind of old. HA! I'm about 30 and I wondering where the time went. I was talking to my niece the other day and boy, can she talk a lot. We were talking about my birthday and she asked me something that really had me thinking. She asked, "Miracle, why aren't birthdays our own personal new years?" And I'm like... huh? And she says, "Why do we make resolutions and try so hard to start over on Jan 1? Shouldn't we do that on our birthdays, when it's a new year of age and growth for each of us?" I'm not sure if those were her exact words but the way she said it made so much sense. It's also crazy that she actually mentioned that as I was already thinking about everything that I wanted to do once I turned 26. I'm feeling very determined and motivated this year. I want my year of being 26 to be different from my year of being 25, 24, or 23. I have goals that I would like to accomplish my 26th year. I really want a second job, I have been job hunting for a while now so hopefully I can land one soon. Also, I want to finish my master's program strong with nothing but A's. My initial goal was to graduate with honors but I already have 2 B's so that goal is an epic fail. I'm still proud of myself and even though I may not graduate with honors, my GPA is still pretty high. Another goal is to post more on my blog. I have a schedule of Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays but sometimes I'll skip a day if I'm not feeling inspired. Let me know what kind of posts you are interested in. I had been asked to review movies and make challenge/haul videos. The videos, I can do but I rarely watch movies nowadays. It's hard for me to sit through them. I guess that's what happens when you get old. What's been on your mind lately? Lets chat in the comments below. Make sure to follow my blog by submitting your email on the left hand side or via BLOGLOVIN.
Starbucks has recently released their newest frappuccino and it is all the rage! It's called the Unicorn Frappuccino. As do most people, I love anything involving unicorns and rainbows so I had to try it out for myself. Starbucks describes this drink as "magical flavors start off sweet and fruity transforming to pleasantly sour." One ingredient for this drink is mango syrup so I am assuming this drink is supposed to taste like mango. I am going to tell you what I think this drink really tastes like. The description is correct, the drink does go from sweet to sour. When I first tried it, it tasted like an orange creamsicle. After a while, once I reached the blue part of the drink, it started tasting like sour patch kids candy. It's a very cool drink and totally unexpected. I was expecting it to taste like strawberries/raspberries or cotton candy. I would highly recommend trying it at least once. Rating: I would give it an 8.5/9 out of 10. This drink is only available in the U.S, Canada, and Mexico. The Unicorn Frappuccino is only out for a few more days so try it before it's gone. It is definitely an experience.
I dread the Spring because I know when the season comes so does the pollen. I have really bad allergies so not only does pollen make me feel miserable but it's annoying as well. Pollen gets everywhere! There's no escaping it! It gets all over our cars and houses, even our pets!!! Sometimes I don't even go outside because it's pure yellow out. That's madness!!
This season, I will not suffer!! I will be kicking pollen in the butt and if you have allergies, you should too!
Here are 15 tips for surviving the pollen this season:
Wear a hat or scarf on your head when going outside. You'll decrease the chances of getting pollen in your hair.
Take a shower when you get home. Avoid getting straight in the bed or couch. Wash all of the dirt and pollen off of you first.
Don't drive with the windows down.
Invest in a purifier. This will clean the air in your home, eliminating all dust and pollen.
Do not hang your clothes or rugs outside to dry.
Keep your pets wiped down or bathed as much as possible. They will bring a lot of pollen back inside the home.
Avoid being outside during high pollen count days. The news will tell when these days are.
Avoid being outside during windy days. All of that pollen floating in the wind is a disaster!
Keep your hair washed often if you can.
Avoid opening windows in your home. That spring breeze may feel good but it'll only be bringing in pollen into your home.
If you wear contacts, try wearing your glasses more often. Pollen can get in your contacts, making your eyes feel extra itchy and irritated.
Wear a mask that can cover your nose and mouth.
Find some medication that will work for you such as Benadryl or Claritin.
Gargle salt water. It helps soothe a sore throat.
Don't wear the same clothes that you wore outside inside. If you don't want to take a shower, at least take off the clothes you had on earlier. It will contaminate everything else in the house with pollen.
1. I LOVE flowers. I have a few favorites: roses, tulips, sunflowers, peonies, and hydrangeas. Just looking at them instantly makes me happier. These are my mom's birthday flowers. Aren't they gorgeous?! If it were up to me, I would have flowers [literally] all over the house!
2. I am obsessed with book stores. I love the quiet atmosphere and getting lost in thousands of books. Books-A-Million is one of my favorite places to go. I could spend the whole day there.
3. Coffee/Coffee Shops/Starbucks. Not only do I love the taste of coffee but I like the aroma and the warmth it provides. And nothing is more satisfying than walking into Starbucks and smelling all of that delicious coffee.
4. Arts and Crafts/Stationary. I love shopping for crafts and stationary. Lately I've been into painting. It's so fun and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new [relaxing] hobby. I've also been into planners and stickers, but then again, I have always been into those 2 things.
5. My Bible. I purchased a new bible not too long ago so I could get into bible journaling. I've found myself not even journaling but just reading it and I'm really enjoying it.
